Lynette Olson

Lead Teacher and Director

Born: Lannon, Wisconsin (near Milwaukee)
College: Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN – Bachelor of Education 
Child Experience: Taught grades K-2 in Michigan, two-year-old preschool in Woodbury, VBS and Sunday School at Christ Lutheran, preschool music classes, family child care, one-year-old childcare classroom at Cornerstone in Hugo. This is Lynette’s fifth year teaching at CLS Preschool. 
Family: Lynette is married to Chris (Mr. Olson who teaches fifth and sixth grade at CLS). They have five boys between 20 and 30, two daughters in law, and four grandchildren. They also enjoy their two cats and new dog!
Outside of School: Walking and hiking, going to the Y, reading, painting and all art.

Erin Carroll

Assistant Teacher – mainly Tuesday and Thursday afternoons

Born: Peoria, Arizona
College: Greenville College in Greenville, IL – Bachelor of Arts degree
Child Experience: Nursery Captain at her church, has worked in admin at a preschool, volunteered at VBS and church camps, and has coached her son’s baseball team. This is Erin’s first year working in our preschool room.
Family: Erin is married to Alan and they have two children, William (a first grader at CLS) and Ellie (a preschooler this year)
Outside of School: Gardening, spending time at the lake with family and friends, serving on her church’s Moms Connect group, and running a small business with her bestie called Wonderfully Made.

Pam Fallert

Assistant Teacher – mainly Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays

Born: Tokyo and lived in Japan until she was ten, then in St. Paul, MN
College: North Carolina State University – Double major in Math and Math Ed
Child Experience: Subbed in preschool – high school for 20 years, has taught VBS and Sunday school at her church and was the head of the board of ed at her church for six years, and has coached volleyball for 35 years (and still does!).  Pam is in her fourth year teaching in the preschool room at CLS.
Family: Pam is married to Chris and they have three girls, 21, 25, and 28 years old.
Outside of School: Traveling, going for walks, baking, playing pickleball, and anything volleyball related.

Rachel Harper

Assistant Teacher Substitute

Born: Parkridge, Illinois, and raised near Green Bay, Wisconsin
College: Martin Luther College and Wis. Lutheran College–Bachelor of Education
Child Experience: Taught grades 3-7 in Wisconsin, grades 5-12 in the PLACE Program in Stillwater, and VBS and Sunday School at her church. Rachel subs in preschool – grade 8 at CLS.  She has worked in the preschool room for three years. 
Family: Married to Jason, and they have a daughter and three sons between 10 and 21 years old. Rachel’s children have attended CLS.
Outside of School: Music, reading, and spending time outside

Katie Healy

Assistant Teacher – Mondays and Fridays, early care Monday through Friday

Born: Forest Lake, raised in Richfield, Minnesota
College: University in Forest City, Iowa – major in Early Childhood
Child Experience: Head toddler room teacher at Rainbow Montessori in Bloomington for six years, and taught various ages at Choo Choo Montessori in Maplewood. Katie works in the kitchen at CLS and is in her second year teaching at our preschool. She says everyday is an adventure in preschool!
Family: Married to Rick, and they have three boys, 11, 13, and 17 (attended CLS).
Outside of School: Exploring the outdoors with her family, reading, and cooking.

Lura Johnson

Assistant Teacher – mainly Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons

Born: In rural northwest Wisconsin, just east of Spooner
College: Rochester Community and Technical College and University of MN
Child Experience: Worked at Cornerstone Early Learning Center in Hugo in various rooms, was an aide in the CLS kindergarten classroom. Lura has worked for the past five years in Early Childhood and Family Ed in 622.
Family: Married to Sheldon and they have four children, two boys and two girls between 13 and 25. All four have attended CLS.
Outside of School: Traveling, listening to music, cooking, baking, and canning, crafting, taking scenic walks, fishing with family, looking for bargains, and cheering.

Marcia Schuyler

Assistant Teacher – mornings

Born: Rochester, Minnesota
College: Rochester Community College and University of MN – Master of Science
Child Experience: Marcia has been an aide and teaching assistant in grades preschool – grade 8 at CLS since 2004.
Family: Marcia is married to Greg and they have four grown children, three daughters’ in law, and two grandchildren.
Outside of School: Camping, hiking, nature, baking, reading, history, and making crafts.
